Reviews

Use Citric Acid with CP soap

"This is a beautiful fragrance. I used it for the first time in my CP soap with citric acid before I added the lye in my distilled water. I never noticed any problems with the soap. It wasn't until later that I noticed the bad reviews. I made it a solid color green and nothing fancy. It's a beautiful scent that can be unisex. Love it and am tempted to buy more since it's being discontinued!"

Banana Laffy Taffy

"This smells exactly like banana laffy taffy. It's not my personal favorite. I blended this with a strawberry fragrance I have and it overpowered the strawberry BIG time. All I smell is this fragrance oil. I'm hoping it mellows out a bit after cure so the strawberry can pop through. Used in cp soap using the heat transfer method and it worked great. I just want a fragrance that smells like a true banana."

I LOVE IT!!!

"Love it love it love it! It smells like sun tan lotion! I can't say it enough I love it. . . So do my customers. However. . . it needs a better scent throw. It's very week in that aspect."

COCOcrazy about it!

"I made both a hot process coconut oil soap and bath bombs with this oil. It is incredible! The banana is not overpowering like I thought that it might be. . . its soft, and tropical -- like a pina colada in my opinion! :)"

you wanna eat it

"I made a bath line this morning and used the tag line, ""It's so cold let's go to the tropics"". I did a package deal of shower gel, bath salts, and body spray. By noon I had sold out of all of them."

Yummy fragrance

"This is a perfect blend of banana and coconut. My summer customers love this fragrance in soap and lotion. . . it's also safe for lips, so I make a lip balm with it. Smells divine and does not fade with cure time."

Banan Coconut Oil

"This was great in my body scrub added a little yellow colorant to the scrubs. Everyone loved this scent, it almost reminds me of pina colada."

Q&A

There are several questions with answers about using this FO in lip balm. Has the formula changed or is the IFRA document wrong? It says 0% in category 1 but the answers say it can be used in lip balm at up to 3.5%.
The usage rate for Category 1 was updated with the 51st IFRA amendment. Although the formula has not changed, regulations and recommendations are frequently reviewed, revised, and updated accordingly.
The banana coconut fragrance oil says the usage rate for soap is 10.40%. I didn't use that much, I used 8% in Milton pour soap and 2 hours later my soap is still liquid in the molds? What can I do? And what did I do wrong? When it finally hardens, if it does, will it be safe to use?
The percentage you are refering to is the IFRA maximum skin exposure level and does not take into account how much fragrance oil the melt and pour soap can hold. Our MP soap can only hold 6% total additives, which is why it is not setting up. When calculating how much fragrance you should use in your product, we recommend using our fragrance oil calculator. If you plug this fragrance into the calculator, it tells you to use 6%. https://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/calculators/FragranceCalculator.aspx
With this being a Fragrance oil (not a flavor oil) will it have or leave a nasty taste on the lips. (I have had Fragrance oil on my hands and hit my lips before and it did not taste good). Im fairly new to all the soap making and i thought you could only use flavor oils and or essential oils in lip products (is this not the case)?
We do offer a few fragrance oils that can be used on the lips. This oil is not bitter like other fragrance oils are. Since we made this recipe, we have added quite a bit more oils to our Flavor Oil section and no longer need to use fragrance oils.
How much exactly can I use in 16oz of lip balm base of the Banana Coconut fo? Thanks.
This fragrance is safe up to 3.5% in a lip product. We would not recommend using this much since it is not a flavor oil. For 16 oz., 3.5% would be .55 oz. We recommend adding a small amount, then adding more if needed.
Does this product contain Vanilla?
This fragrance contains no vanilla.
