Step 1

In microwave-safe measuring cup, add Sweet Almond Oil, Shea Butter, Emulsifying Wax and Cetyl Alcohol. Heat until completely melted.

Step 2

Place water in second microwave-safe measuring cup and heat until water reaches about 125°F.

Step 3

Slowly add water to melted oils and wax. Using stick blender or hand mixer, blend until all ingredients are incorporated.

Step 4

Add Glycerin, LuxGlide and Polysorbate 80. Stick blend again.

Step 5

Let product cool to about 100°F. Add Vitamin E, Preservative and Essential Oil.

Step 6

Add drops of color until desired shade is reached.

Step 7

Add Xanthan Gum and stick blend to thicken product. Add slightly more if a thicker consistency is desired. Add a very small amount as too much will turn lotion gummy.

Step 8

Fill jars to approximately 6.8 ounces and apply lids.

Step 9

Label product accordingly.

To Use: Apply to skin as desired.
