About This Recipe:

Pamper yourself with a facial spa. The Stimulating Steamers will help open pores and stimulate and open nasal passages. Great for colds and whenever you need a quick pick-me-up. Drop a tablet into a bowl of hot water to create the steam. Place a towel over your head and let the steam open your pores and help you rejuvenate.

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

Equipment From Home:
• (1) Large Mixing Bowl
• (1) Wire Whisk
• (2) Cookie Sheets
• (1) Gloves

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. To large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid and kaolin clay. Mix well with gloved hands, breaking up any clumps in the powder. 
  2. Use plastic dropper to drizzle essential oils over dry mixture.
  3. To plastic beaker, add hydrosol and rubbing alcohol. Drizzle over mixture while blending in with gloved hand.
  4. Press mixture firmly into 15 mold cavities.
  5. Let set for at least two hours, then unmold. Let harden overnight. 
  6. Add three facial steamers to each cello bag and tie with ribbon.
  7. Label product accordingly.
To Use: Place one steamer into bowl of very hot water. Put your face right above the bowl, place a towel over your head and gently breathe in the scented steam. If desired, bottle the remaining water and use as a face spritzer. The water can be kept in refrigerator for up to one week.
