About This Recipe:

Pamper yourself with a facial spa. The Stimulating Steamers will help open pores and stimulate and open nasal passages. Great for colds and whenever you need a quick pick-me-up. Drop a tablet into a bowl of hot water to create the steam. Place a towel over your head and let the steam open your pores and help you rejuvenate.

Recipe Ingredients:

Measure ingredients with a scale or precise measuring tool.

• 8 oz. Baking Soda (Sodium Bicarbonate)
• 4 oz. Citric Acid Powder
• 1 oz. White Kaolin Clay
• 0.15 oz. Geranium Water Essential Hydrosol
• 1 ml(s) Tea Tree EO - Certified 100% Pure 136
• 4 ml(s) Eucalyptus (80/82) EO - Certified 100% Pure 705
• 5 ml(s) Peppermint (Natural) EO - Certified 100% Pure 712
• 0.05 oz. Isopropyl Alcohol - 70%

• (1) Wire Whisk
• (2) Cookie Sheets

Directions:

NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.

To large mixing bowl, add baking soda, citric acid and kaolin clay. Mix well with gloved hands, breaking up any clumps in the powder.
Use plastic dropper to drizzle essential oils over dry mixture.
To plastic beaker, add hydrosol and rubbing alcohol. Drizzle over mixture while blending in with gloved hand.
Press mixture firmly into 15 mold cavities.
Let set for at least two hours, then unmold. Let harden overnight.
Add three facial steamers to each cello bag and tie with ribbon.
Label product accordingly.

To Use: Place one steamer into bowl of very hot water. Put your face right above the bowl, place a towel over your head and gently breathe in the scented steam. If desired, bottle the remaining water and use as a face spritzer. The water can be kept in refrigerator for up to one week.

Staff Answer We recommend keeping the leftover water in the refrigerator for up to two days. If it is not kept in the refrigerator, you will risk mold growing in the water.

Is there any preservative that i can add on to make the spray last longer and can be kept out of fridge for long time use?

Staff Answer You can add a preservative to the water. You can add Preservative - Water Soluble PF at a usage level of 0.5% to the water.

"Do the steamers need to be refrigerated? It says in the directions Can be kept in refrigerator for up to two days. Making these to sell so not sure where the fridge part comes in?"

"I think I'm missing something, this recipe says it makes 15 steamers and by putting 3 in each bag that will give you 5 bags at the suggested retail price of $6.95 that comes out to $34.95 and the kit cost $38.95 from what I see I will be loosing money buying this kit, am I wrong or did I miss something?"
