What is Syndet Soap? A combination of a carrier base, usually fixed oils or soap, and an exfoliant. What's in it?
Exfoliation: involves the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin’s outermost surface.
Emulsified Scrubs: contain oil-soluble ingredients like fixed oils and butters and an emulsifier to help the ingredients solubilize in the presence of water.
Exfoliants: should be chosen carefully to prevent scratching or tearing the epidermis.
Biodegradable: exfoliants that decompose are less likely to harm aquatic life or damage plumbing.
Preservatives: should be used with any product that either contains water or may be contaminated with water during normal use.
Net Contents: dense products, such as body scrubs, are considered ”solids” and should declare the net weight on the label rather than volume.
