Frosted Evergreen Scented Ornaments

About This Recipe:

Hang these ornaments anywhere you want to add the fresh scent of frosted pine needles, blue spruce and balsam fir – your car, locker, gym bag, closet, even your Christmas tree.

Directions:
NOTE: If you are making these products for sale, good manufacturing practices recommend you wear a hairnet, gloves, and a mask. We also recommend a clean apron and workspace.
  1. Add 2 oz. beeswax to metal pot. Heat on low until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in green mica powder and 2 micro scoops of glitter.
  3. In beaker, mix 0.15 oz. Windsong Balsam Pine and 0.15 oz. Frosted Pine Cone fragrance oils and add to melted wax.
  4. Pour wax into clean beaker and carefully fill each christmas tree area with the green wax. Let harden. If necessary, reheat wax in microwave to remelt.
  5. Add 7 oz. beeswax to second metal pot. Heat on low until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  6. Add 3 micro scoops of glitter and stir.
  7. Add 0.55 oz. Windsong Balsam Pine and 0.55 oz. Frosted Pine Cone fragrance oils and stir well.
  8. Place mold on the scale and tare to zero. Carefully pour 1.40 oz. into each mold cavity.
  9. Let both molds set briefly on counter, then place in freezer to completely harden.
  10. Remove from molds and set aside. 
  11. Repeat above steps to make remaining six ornaments.
  12. Once ornaments have reached room temperature, make a hole in top of tree for ribbon or twine. Use skewer or long nail to carefully poke the hole.  
  13. Package one ornament in glassine bag and label product accordingly.
To Use: Hang in car, closet, locker, on Christmas tree, or place in drawer. CAUTION: If kept in a car where temperatures can exceed 100°F, the ornament can melt and possibly drip color onto upholstery.
